Hugh T Earhart, of Desert Hills, AZ, passed away 3 March 2011. He was born to E P & Elzada Earhart on 3 May 1924 in Lubbock, TX. He graduated Lubbock High School in 1942 and entered the U S Army in 1943. He served in the military for 23 years, serving in combat missions in the South Pacific during WWII and later in Criminal Investigations in Germany and Korea. He married Julia Guerr in 1952. After retiring from active military service, Hugh became a background investigator for the Civil Service Commission for 20 years, settling in Covina, CA. Upon retiring from investigations, Hugh moved to Sun City West, AZ. Julia preceded him in death. Hugh is survived by daughters Barbara Severson (George) of Desert Hills, AZ; and Peggy Lopp (Ray) of Kingsport, TN; a grandson Doug Severson (Kristen); a granddaughter Heather Kinney; and a great granddaughter Novalee Roberto. Also his surviving spouse Virginia Earhart whom he married in 2002. Memorial services for Hugh were held on Saturday, 12 March 2011 at 1 PM at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary, 6500 E Bell Rd, Scottsdale, AZ. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched. Hugh and Julia actively supported the CIDAA and attended meetings for many years. His membership lapsed after he became ill.
