She enjoyed bowling, knitting, reading, church activities, board games, playing cards, and working with her daughters in their Girl Scout troops. She was a source of inspiration and support through all things. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She was a case worker for the American Red Cross for more than 21 years starting in Taegu, South Korea, and continuing at Fort Sill. Following her retirement from the Red Cross, she operated a janitorial and contracting business for 12 years. In addition, she enjoyed selling Avon for more than 30 years. Survivors include her husband, Gerald, two daughters and sons-in-law: Angela and Ron Doerr, and Kimberly and Michael Merritt, all of Lawton; four grandchildren: Morgan Merritt, Miranda Merritt, Joseph Doerr, and Riley Doerr, all of Lawton; one brother, Art Cullifer, Emden, MO.
