David A. DeFosse



July 4, 1938 - December 6, 2010

David A. DeFosse of Wallingford, CT, husband of Joanne M. Leperi DeFosse, departed this life on Monday, December 6, 2010 after a long and courageous battle with esophageal cancer.

He was born in Stafford Springs, CT on July 4, 1938; the son of the late Armand and Lydia (Panciera) DeFosse. He graduated from St. Edwards Parochial School and Stafford High School in Stafford Springs and was a graduate of the University of Hartford in Bloomfield.

David was a veteran and served in the US Army Criminal Investigation Division of the Military Police.

David was employed in banking as an Officer for many years in lending and a Trust Officer for several banks. He was also a Prudential Insurance agent for 11 years in the Meriden area. During his active working years he was a member of the Board of Directors of Catholic Family Services in Meriden. On the Board of Directors of the New Haven Leukemia Society, Past President of the Central Conn. Estate & Tax Planning Council and a member of the Conn. Estate & Tax Planning Council. He was a parent volunteer for the Washington Park Fife & Drum Corp of Meriden and a parishioner of the Church of the Resurrection of Wallingford.

In addition to his loving and devoted wife Joanne, he is survived by his son Jeffrey DeFosse of Orlando, FL, his daughter Denise Campbell and her husband John of Orlando, FL and his daughter Michelle Narus and her husband Paul of Meriden, his step-daughter Melissa Yasher and her husband Jason of Pennington, N.J.

He is also survived by grandchildren Andrew P. Narus and Dylan Thomas Yasher. He was predeceased by his first wife Sandra L. (Fain) DeFosse.

Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Meriden, CT.
