Ernest L. Carnevalino, Sr.
February 27, 1919 - October 31, 2010
Ernest L. Carnevalino, Sr., a long time resident of Devon Senior Living, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010. He was 91. Born Feb. 27, 1919, in Devon, he was the son of the late Francesco Carnevalino and Pauline Torrelli Carnevalino. In 1936, he graduated from Conestoga High School in Tredyffrin Township, PA.
After high school, he served his country during World War II in the European Theater as an Army CID Agent, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. He was employed by the Benjamin Betner Co., in Devon and the Continental Can Company, in Malvern and retired Jan. 1, 1976. Mr. Carnevalino was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Assumption Church in Strafford, PA.
Over his lifetime he was a member of many groups and organizations. Ready to help when ever he was needed. He was the husband of the late Antonia "Lena" (Maniscalco) Carnevalino, his wife of 60 years.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Samuel, Carl, and Victor and a sister Antonette Di Fabrizio. Surviving are his two sons, Frank of Plymouth Meeting and Ernest, Jr. of Wayne; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
His smile and laughter could light up a room. He will be missed by all ho knew him.
He was buried at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens in King of Prussia, PA.
