Michael Frederick Kaan
November 23, 1968 - March 13, 2021




Born in Denver, CO at Fitzsimons Army Hospital on November 23, 1968. Michael grew up in Boulder, Colorado. He also lived in Georgetown and worked at a Ski Resort. Graduated from Boulder High School in 1987 and became a tow truck driver. He built a career with Crown Lift Trucks and was dedicated to his continual growth starting in July of 2000 to 2021.

Michael continued his education through University of Phoenix to Master of Business Administration in June of 2009. He moved to Houston, Texas in 2010 to further his career and then moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 2015 to pursue a career as a Warehouse Solutions Regional Sales Manager. He spent the later part of his years there.

Michael enjoyed all aspects of nature including sunrise, sunsets, thunderstorms, bird watching, and the beach. He stayed active with skiing, bowling, drumming, gardening and barbequing. His relaxing moments were often spent listening to music, watching movies, and especially spending time with the people he loved.

Michael is the beloved father of Kyle Wayne (Rebecca Ferguson) Kaan, Elizabeth Ann (Juan Millan) Kaan, and Zachary Fredrick (Leah Coffman-Jaramillo) Kaan. Loving grandfather of Caden Ferguson, Isabella Ferguson, Giovanni Ferguson, Jayshaune Kaan, Juan Millan Jr., Julian Millan, Jameson Millan and Jovanni Millan. Dear son of Albert Fredrick and Wanda Jean Kaan. Cherished brother of Pamela Jean (John) Owens. Uncle of Amanda Prentice and Colin Lowe. Nephew of Barbara Jensen.

Michael passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021. Memorial Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home. 6410 Cincinnati Dayton Rd., Liberty Twp., OH 45044 on Thursday, March 18, 2021, from 2 PM until time of funeral service at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Donate Life America, 701 East Byrd Street, 16th Floor, Richmond, VA 23219.

Al Kaan'a son, Michael F. Kaan, age 52, died on Saturday, March 13 at 7:32 PM.  He had a liver transplant a few years ago, but the cancer returned and did not respond to treatment.  Due to other medical concerns the doctors felt that he would not survive another transplant.  He started Hospice care a couple of weeks ago and took a turn for the worse last Thursday. 

Al Kaan, drove to Cincinnati and was there when he died.  He is survived by his two children, eight grandchildren, his sister and his parents.

Michael lived in Cincinnati, OH and worked for Crown Lift Trucks as a District Manager.
