Jay was in my CID Class during 1963! He remained in contact for many years, and met at several CIDAA Conferences. A good friend but we never did work together after the 2nd CID in Seoul. Rest in Peace Jay!!

Jay Hallman Polk, 85, of Goldsboro, NC passed away Wednesday at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. He is the son of the late Ambrose Lee and Annie “Katie” Sealey Polk, and husband of Sancha “Sue” Polk. He was retired from the United States Army Criminal Investigation Division following which he retired as a polygraph operator for Brendles Inc.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:PM in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Committal services will follow at the Eastern Carolina Veterans Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 12:PM until 1:PM at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
In addition to his wife of over 60 years, Mr. Polk is survived by his daughter, Darlene Polk of Dudley; two sons, Jay Polk Jr of Goldsboro and Jerry Polk and wife, Cappy of Holly Springs; four grandchildren, Justin and Ian Williamson of Goldsboro, Alexandria and Jared Polk of Holly Springs, three great grandchildren, Sophia, Savanah, and one on the way; two sisters, Ann Gold of Albany, GA and Gayle Lovell and husband, James “Jim” of Los Angeles, CA.
