Gerald "Jerry" Glenn Stauffer passed away in his home on February 8th, 2019. He was born April 16, 1933 in Willard, Utah to Glenn Harold and Irene Price Stauffer. He enlisted in the Air Force upon graduation from high school, and was stationed near Columbus, Ohio. He married Alice Beatty in Columbus in 1954. There were five children from this union. They were divorced in 1970. In the Air Force, Jerry first worked as a mechanic on B-52s, and while stationed in Puerto Rico from 1960-1963, he was among those providing air support during the Bay of Pigs Invasion attempt. At that time, he was introduced to the Air Force's Office of Special Investigations, which he joined after returning to the mainland.

In 1968, he transferred to the Criminal Investigation Division of the U.S. Army as a Warrant Officer. He served two tours of duty in Korea, in 1969 and again in 1974, then he met and married his wife of 45 years, Song Ae Hong. They made Las Vegas their home upon his retirement from the military as a Chief Warrant Officer in 1975.

His hobbies included woodworking, gardening, and electronics. He kept up with the times, building his own hi-fi set in the 1960's and high-powered personal computer in the 1990s, complete with flight simulator. He is survived by a brother, Lynn, a sister Joanne, five children - Suzanne Marie (Michael Lambert), Glenn Allen (Jan Taylor), Judith Michelle (David Palmer), Cheryl Annette, Doris Mae (Darrell Huntington).

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law, Chad Moser. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 14th at 2:00 pm. at the Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 South Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, Nevada. Friends may visit the family at the mortuary from 1:00-1:45 PM. Interment will be at the Palm Eastern Cemetery.
