Col (Ret) John H Pearson, MPC, age 82, entered into rest on April 21, 2007 in Alpharetta, GA. Funeral services will be held on April 25, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Platt's Crawford Avenue Chapel in Augusta. Burial with full military honors will follow at Westover Memorial Park. COL Pearson was a veteran of World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War. He earned many awards during his service which include the Presidential Unit Citation, Navy Unit Commendation Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Bronze Star, National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Legion of Merit, Air Medal, Vietnam Gallantry Cross, Valorous Unit Award, and the Meritorious Unit Citation. COL Pearson was also a graduate of Loyola University. Among the survivors are a son, Roger Pearson and wife Robin, and two grandchildren, Mitchell Ryan Pearson and Lauren Ashleigh Pearson.
