Richard C. Richardson, 84, of Columbus, formerly of Trenton, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013. Mr. Richardson was a retired special agent, Criminal Investigation Division, United States Federal Government. A United States Army veteran, he served in the National Guard in the 348th Division. He then served in Army Reserve 78th Division and on active duty at Fort Polk. He was a graduate of Hamilton High School, Class of 1947, and a parishioner of St. Andrews Church, Jobstown. Son of the late William and Hilda Schindler Richardson, he was the grandfather of the late Jared R. Dekis and brother of the late William, Robert and Joseph Richardson. Surviving are his loving wife of 62 years, Frances Chmela Richardson; daughter and son-in-law, Laure and Frank P. Dekis Jr. of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Frank P. Dekis III and Camrin M. Dekis; brother, Raymond Richardson of New Hampshire, and many nieces, nephews and special friends. The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday from Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, 2946 South Broad St., Hamilton. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew's Church, 2489 Monmouth Rd., Jobstown. Interment with military honors will be in BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Relatives and friends may call on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Andrew's Church, 2489 Monmouth Rd., Jobstown, NJ 08041, or to the American Cancer Society , 2600 U.S. Hwy 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
