I too want to pay my respects to Pete. He was one of many mentors I had when I was PMI waiting for my CID App to be approved and assigned to the 4th CID, Ft Myer, VA., in 69-70. I remember Pete as always being so full of life and what seemed to be -- stuck on fast forward. I don't think I ever say anyone type so fast on a manual underwood as Pete. He helped teach me a lot of the basic ropes of what being a CID Agent was all about. Rest in peace Chief.

Sorry to hear about Pete. I had the pleasure of working with him for a few months in DaNang in 1972. Great investigator and great guy. Good office for a combat zone. "Super Chief" Jim Triano (RIP) was the chief and Jack Sellinger was the OPS. Also Norris Price, Jim Thames, Clyde Swindell, Ron Slater and many others. We moved the office 3 - 4 times as facilities were closed. Finally wound up at Camp Horn with Benny Hawkins, Barry Ringley, Gil Dudley (RIP) and Tom Tamblingson (RIP). Kinda makes one wonder why they have been chosen to hang around a little longer.

I knew Pete when I was stationed in Thailand in 1972. I was at the Udorn Office, but every time I came to Bangkok Pete always rolled out the welcome mat. He was a true gentleman and all round good guy. Rest in peace old friend.

I knew Pedro in Vietnam and met up with him again a couple years later while on TDY with Pete Comras in Saigon via the Bangkok Field Office, Thailand. At that time he was being a movie star with James Bond. He was a great guy and a pleasure to be around. He will be missed. God Bless You Pedro.

I met Pedro while I was on several TDYs to Bangkok. He had a great sense of humor, had an excellent reputation (all the way from CID HQ to BKK), plus he was a star in the movie Man with the Golden Gun.
Rest in Peace Pedro--you earned it.

Worked with Pete at the 4th at Ft Myer in 1970. We were assigned to escort and protect a Captain Prado of the Bolivian army who was visting D.C. Cpt Prado was involved in hunting down and killing Che Guevera so it was felt that he might be in danger from some radical element. As he was leaving he said that he never got our names. Imagine the raised eyebrows when Pete told him his name was Guevara.

I met Pedro "Pete" Guevara at DaNang, Vietnam in 1971. A very good investigator and we got to be good friends, although we lost touch after he left for a tour in Thailand. Last I saw him was when I took him for his hop to Thailand on an Air Force tanker. He was one of the good ones and will be mourned by those who knew him.

I first met Pedro in Thailand (circa 1969) along with J O Yerby. I last saw him in the late eighties @ Cameron Station, Alexandria, VA while I was working for AAFES. If memory serves, Pedro was working with DIS at the time. Words alone cannot express the sadness I feel. I shall miss him.
