CW4 (Ret) Jerry Alvin "Mac" McRee, age 74, of Jonesboro, GA, passed away on 24 November 2012.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. He retired from the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of the US Army. He is survived by his wife, Beverly; son and daughter in law, Kevin and Pamela McRee of Yorktown, VA; daughter, Tammy Gail Spriggs of Wichita, KS; sisters, Ruth (Robert) Yates of KY, Joy Jackson of TN; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held, Thursday, 29 November 2012 at 11: AM in the chapel of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. Reverend Irvin Pearre and Brother Buddy Norton will officiate. Mr McRee will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 28 November 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home, Ford-Stewart, in Jonesboro. In lieu of flowers make contributions to the Arthritis Foundation, PO Box 96280, Washington, DC 20077 (phone 800-283-7800).

I was informed by Jerry's McRee's wife, that Jerry passed away this morning unexpectedly. Jerry was a polygraph operator, and I worked with him in Stuttgart, FRG. No further info available at this time.
