Gene Conrad Griffin June 26, 1927 – March 21, 2009. Gene was born in Bristow, Oklahoma to Roy and Otelia Griffin. Preceded in death by his parents, brother James and sister Frances. Gene will be forever missed by his beloved wife of 61 years, Trudy, daughter Sylvia (Hank) Griego, and son Gene Roy Griffin, his grandchildren, Brian (Jackie), Chris (Jenn), Charlene (Scott), Ian (Alysha) and Allison, his great-grandchildren, Erik, Caitlin, Angela, Samuel, Kiley, Kane, Lukas, Conrad, brother Ginger Griffin (Anne) and family, as well as many other family and friends. Gene was a career Army officer and later owned a liquor store and delicatessen. Gene and Trudy loved to travel and were able to go on many trips around the world. He loved his family and worked hard to provide everything for them. His legacy and gift to them will always be his example of loving, hard work and having fun. His Irish roots came out in his zest for life and a wee bit of the whiskey. Forever in our hearts…may you rest eternally in peace and continue to watch over and protect us. Until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of His hand. We love you Daddy, Daddy Gene, Uncle Gene and sweet, sweet friend. Viewing: Thursday, March 26th, 5-8 P.M.
