LTC (retired) James Sevier Killough, MPC was born 4 February 1910 in Dallas, TX and passed away on 29 August 2008 in Dallas. LTC Killough graduated from Dallas High School. During his lifetime, he was an oil field worker; played semi-pro baseball at Jefferson University; became a lawyer; commanded a CCC camp, worked as a US Treasury Agent; and served as an infantry intelligence officer. Further, he was wounded during the Battle of Okinawa and became the first Military Mayor of Seoul. He was an instructor at the Command and General Staff College; Commander of the 508th Military Police Battalion; Military Police Board Chief of Training Publications; Army Ballistic Missile Agency Security and Intelligence Officer; Provost Marshall I Corps/ASCOM, Korea; Provost Marshall Colorado-Wyoming area; Texas parole officer; businessman; world traveler and Christian soldier. Among the survivors are his wife of 74 years, Iris; two sons, Michael and David; and a daughter, Kathleen. His son, James Jr, predeceased him. Burial at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
