LTC Anderson was my commander at Hawaii FO during the seventies. May he rest in peace.

Just received a message from Mike Anderson, Jim's son, that his dad had passed last night 19 February. Shortly after Jim's wife Renate died of a heart attack last April, Jim was diagnosed with a cancerous growth in his inner ear. It was surgically removed, but later examination showed that some was still present. Shortly after the surgery, Jim suffered a heart attack, complicating his recovery and weakening him as he fought to regain his vitality. He was under home hospice care when he passed. Jim was my Deputy Commander at 2nd Region and was one of the early commissioned officer agents during the time Col Tufts implemented that program.
May he rest in peace, Tom Jones
